The Established Historical Perspectives of Urdu Poetry and Ghalib’s Elegant Attitude

Abstract:

A unique aspect of satire and humour in Ghalib’s poetry is that he negates the established truths with his comic attitude. In Urdu poetry, in the allusions in which some accepted facts had been present for centuries in the form of a riddle, Ghalib, while giving his subtlety to them, negated them. Subject, whether it was the will of God or the methods of religions, whether it was the topic of heaven or hell, whether it was the fate of Moses or the messiahship of the son of Mary, whether it was the guidance of Khidr or the greatness of angels, Ghalib does not shy away from bringing humorous aspects of every subject. He has always understood some point of satire and irony.
